Where safeguarding professionals learn, grow, and protect children together.

The Global Safeguarding Collaborative (“the GSC”) is an educational 501(c)3 non-profit organization motivated by the belief that the health and safety of students is a school's number one priority and no school should be unnecessarily limited in their ability to protect and safeguard the children within their community.

The GSC:

  • Was founded in December 2019
  • Is governed by a 10-person Board of Directors
  • Was incorporated as a US-based non-profit organization in September 2023.
  • Has more than 590 members in over 470 international schools across 87 countries.

As a Collaborative, the GSC actively supports and encourages the exchange of information and resources between members who are primarily safeguarding leads, school counselors, and other safeguarding professionals working with children.  Membership is free and all resources and program information is available, without restrictions, on our website.

Income generated from donations and/or fee-based support services is currently used exclusively to:

  • Provide scholarships to members who want to participate in a fee-based program but do not have sufficient funds.
  • Nominally compensate facilitators.
  • Pay GSC-related operational expenses.

In the spirit of collaboration, the GSC actively seeks to partner with other organizations towards the goals of achieving its mission.

Please consider becoming a member of the Collaborative and join a thoughtful, caring, and professional global network of educators dedicated to safeguarding children.

Welcome to the GSC!
